FAQ – How to transfer your credits
Q: How do I transfer my credits?
A: Send an email to info@rtd-ratings including the project name and the purchase ID. The RTD team will verify the information recorded in the SHA and the credits’ blockchain records. They will then provide a form that must be completed in order to update the registered information and transfer ownership to the new credit holder.
Q: What information do I need to provide?
A: You need to provide the receiving party’s registry account, number of credits to transfer, and the specific project from which they originate. In addition to completing the form that RTD Ratings will provide to you.
Q: Are there any fees for transferring?
If physical credits have already been issued, they must be sent to the RTD Ratings offices for destruction. Once the original credits have been destroyed, new credits containing the new owner’s information will need to be printed. Depending on the number of credits involved, a reissuance and reprinting fee may apply.
